MacBook Disk Burn: Close enough?

Asked by kevbo (25672points) February 22nd, 2009

I’m trying to burn a 4.1 GB file onto a DVD with a 4.7 GB capacity. First try resulted in some kind of error about 50% through the burn. 2nd try resulted in error 90% through the verifying process. Do I need to burn again, or is that close enough?

Is there something wrong with my drive? I’ve never had errors, but have also never burned a file this large. Is this common? My MacBook is from 2006 and the drive has mainly been used for importing CDs.
