How Can I Disable the Autocorrect Feature for Typing on my iPhone?

There has to be a simple setting that I’m just not seeing. I send a lot of messages in languages other than English. The constant autocorrect is SO annoying. I know that the dictionary is supposed to be “learning” my words, but I just want to turn it off.
