Is there anything I can do for my kitten in heat?

Before anyone says this…..SHE HAS AN APPOINTMENT ON THE 23RD OF MARCH TO BE FIXED. :) Until then, is there ANYTHING that i can do for her? She seems so miserable & it’s really upsetting me. Yes, the meowing & howling is annoying…..but i’m more upset than anything. I’ve scratched her backside near her tail, scratched her head….she seems to like these things, but then just gets back on the floor & drags her butt across the floor & whines. She has never had kittens & im pretty sure this is her first heat, at least the first one that has been this bad. Any suggestions would be great! Thank you
