Is there a program that will help tune up my Mac to help it run faster?

Lately I feel like my Macbook is running sluggish.. Especially in Photoshop. I have a gig of RAM so it should be running fine. On my PC I used a program called Tune-up Utilities which did a bunch of tests and helped make it run faster.. Is there any programs that will help me do that with my macbook?
