Do the Christians who preach that Jesus died for our sins know what happened 3 days later?

SPOILER ALERT CHRISTIANS. Don’t read any further.
Why do we keep hearing how Jesus died for our sins when he rises from the dead 3 days later and goes to heaven? When are they going to finish the story for the Christians and if they already know how the story ends, why do we still hear all this nonsense about Jesus dying for our sins?
Wouldn’t “Jesus took a three day nap for your sins” or “Jesus hibernated for your sins” be more honest?
