Please help with my horror novel?

So as you can tell from the question I need some help with a horror novel I’m writing. Long story short, there is this knight that commits suicide (possibly…not sure yet) and he turns into this ghost and all, but i’m not sure how you are supposed to get rid of a ghost. The other main character has to figure out how to kill him, but is there really a way to kill a ghost?
