What do you know about preparing Illustrator files for Print and Embroidery.

I am going for a new job and I would be designing, redrawing, and preparing files for embroidery and uniform prints. I have some basic knowledge on this and training is provided but I would like to be a little more prepared when I go for my interview. Can anyone give some helpful tips or mistakes people commonely make when preparing these types of files? Any information is appreciated. I specifically do not know to much about embroidery.
