How can a person improve his/her life?

how can it be possible for some1 to improve his/her life when that person knows that whatever he/she would do…it would be judged by people..mostly close family relatives or even your friends…at every step of your life…u will find people who will critisize you and discourage you. I just dont understand how life could be unfair with those who really want to live this life…
