Is it dorky to drive a former police car?

I own a gas station in a high crime area and purchaed a former “unmarked” police car to park on-site during business hours to try to deter crime. we have had 4 purses stolen from vehicles while they were being filled up in just the past month. Probably over a dozen this year. A few carjackings on site too. Since I began driving this policecar daily and parking it on the property: zero crime.
Problem is, I feel like an idiot driving it, since I’m not a cop. Plus, people either drive slow when I’m behind them or get out of the way (which is kinda nice!)
