Is it possible that a medical condition (other than alcoholism) could make a woman drink vodka and smoke pot while driving an SUV with children?

The family and lawyer of the woman who went the wrong way on the Taconic Parkway in New York claim it is. Her family claims she was not an alcoholic and even though the coroner’s report found vodka in her stomach and alcohol and pot in her bloodstream, some medical condition such as a stroke or diabetes made her do it. As you may know, she, as well as four children in her car are dead and three men in another car are dead as a result of her driving the wrong way.
