Actually interesting, soul provoking things to do and see in NYC?

I’ve lived in New York and been in and out of the city for years. Lately, I’ve started to dread heading down there for a weekend because I feel (and I’m sure I’m wrong) that I’ve been to a bunch of places/seen a bunch of things/etc and that the city is getting kind of stale. Can you help me rekindle the fire? I need some truly fresh places to eat and drink, things to see and do etc. Typically I enjoy museums and quaint little places to get a drink or a bite – so, what’s your favorite spot for food? Your favorite thing to do? What’s your favorite…ANYTHING. I don’t care what it is…perhaps there’s a streetcorner that you’re particularly fond of or that has some sick graffiti on it…or you love jogging a particular route….maybe there’s a crazy old lady living down your street that gives out chewing gum. ANYTHING that gets you up in NYC I want to hear…
