How much and what type of math is needed in Accounting?

I know this sounds like a stupid question since Accounting is all about numbers. What I am really interested in finding out is what type of math is required.

For example, if someone gets Bs in Algebra class but doesn’t love it, would it still be possible for them to go into Accounting? Is that sort of math involved or is it more credits, debits, percentages and that sort of thing? Also, how much tax knowledge is required?
