What are your thoughts on the movie, Eraserhead?

I just watched this movie and am a bit in awe by it. I really don’t know what to think of the film. First off, it was visually gorgeous. The dialogue was explicitly minimal, and realistic when used. The effects were amazingly (and surprisingly) realistic.

But there’s a lot more to this movie. I feel as though there is a deeper meaning outside of fear of reproduction. What are your thoughts on it? Any interpretations? Favorite scenes?
