Automating copying files in OS X?

I need to copy files daily from one folder to another in OS X. The whole folder can be replaced daily also. I’ve never really dabbled in automation but I imagine this is fairly common thing to do. Any easy ways to do this within OS X. Or nice simple shareware ways. Appreciate any thoughts.
