Is saying I am worse than a girl at mechanical stuff sexist?

I said that I am bad at mechanical things, worse than a girl even. (Well, I put it grammatically correct, but that’s not the point.)
Is this sexist, and while we’re on the topic, can I allude to the great Carrie Bradshaw and wonder: Will girls ever be considered equal to men in Guy stuff?
