Have you recently had to put your foot in your mouth in a big way?

I dispatch, and sometimes I have to contract a courier service outside of our company. One of the services uses a lady who works from home to take the info for pick-ups. You can tell because you can always year Young and the Restless or ESPN or whatever else on her TV.

Today I was talking to her, and I heard what sounded like a moo. Not a cartoon mooing, but a real cow moo. And it was loud! Loud enough that she actually said “I’m sorry, I can’t hear you.” I thought it had to be her TV; there was no doubt in my mind that it was a cow.

So I thought I’d be funny and ask her, “Do you have a cow in your living room?” She said, “that’s my husband.”

Luckily for me she was laughing about it almost as hard as I was, but my laughing was more like “oh FUCK what did I just do??” I still feel my face getting beet red thinking about it.
