What foods have recently become mainstream where you live?

I was thinking the other day how many different foods there are that I don’t remember being popular like 20 years ago or so. Or foods that lately have grown in popularity. Like tacos, for instance. I can’t remember tacos being this popular 10 years ago and I can’t remember we had it here in Sweden 20 years ago.

And Sauce Bearnaise, have you guys had that? It’s like one of the most popular sauces ever at the moment and where ever you go you can get steak and sauce Bearnaise. I like it though, one of my favourites.

Another food that I can’t recall being popular 15–20 years ago is coleslaw. And not to mention sushi! Wow, sushi is like the most fashionable food ever, at the moment and have been for the last five years or so.
