Last.fm and iTunes? Any point in using both?

I just discovered last.fm ( I know I’m late to the party) and I’m trying to figure out whether or not it is a useful thing to use, considering I am a heavy and loyal iTunes user. Is there any point to using last.fm AND iTunes?
