How does someone who does not wear contacts, wear special contacts for halloween?

My boyfriend wants to wear these crazy contacts to inhance his halloween contume, but his eyes are sensitive(we reciently had to go to eye doctor to remove a piece of metal from his eye(second trip to doctor for second metal object in same eye) so he obviously has some understandable fear or psycological inbetted warriness of anything foreign in his eyes. He has also tried contacts a few years back, and needless to say, he is terrified. Besides trying to overcome his psycological fears of foreign objects in his eye, how does one become comfortable with wearing contacts when they have tried many times before and REALLY wants it to work out…? Is there some kind of semiquazi numming eye drops that are available and TEMPORARY?!???
