I found an earthworm in the middle of my kitchen floor this morning. Is this a sign of a problem?

For starts, I live in a split level duplex. I am in the lower level that is half way underground. The place is plenty old. I believe it was built in the 60’s.

Anyway, this morning I walked into my kitchen and found an earthworm lying in the middle of my kitchen floor. I have no idea where it got in. I looked around the kitchen; I didn’t see any holes. Does anybody know if this could be a sign of a bigger problem that I am not aware of in terms of the condition of the house? Has anybody else ever found an earthworm lying randomly on your floor?
