I just saw a question about why we wash bath towels if we get out of the shower clean. Not picking on anybody, but this is an example of a type of question that tends to be asked again and again. People single out some occurrence or behavior in their lives and want to poll everyone about their experience with it or opinion of it.

If newcomers want to avoid repeating common questions, they’re told to use the search. But the search function doesn’t really find prior instances unless you use the same wording. So the point of this question is to list those recurring questions in one place, as a public service. It may not help, but can it hurt?

NOTE: I suggest omitting questions that may sound the same (“What does it mean when girls do this?” “How do I tell my parents I’m moving out?” “I think I’m in love with my best friend. What should I do?”) but are actually seeking personal advice in different circumstances. Those would draw different answers, depending. What I’m after here is questions that are the same and will have the same answers, so once is really enough.
