Cheapest way to move carload of possessions from Boston to Chicago?

Stuff needs to get from one basement to another during/around Thanksgiving weekend. I live in Chicago, and I need to transport it from Boston. Should I rent a uhaul? a car? If I rent either, won’t it be extremely expensive, especially since I am not returning the vehicle to the “home” location….just thought I would garner some advice!
