Help me decide which Blu-Ray player is best.

I am going to buy a blu-ray player for my dad, and I found 2 possible choices. The Samsung BDP-1400, or the Sharp Aquos BD-HP20U. Which would be the best? Both are the same price, both are used. I looked at reviews on CNET, but the user reviews don’t help at all.
