When my cell phone drops a call in my girlfriend's apartment i hear weird whispering voices as interference... What is this and why does it happen in the kitchen or bathroom especially when the dryer is running?

This is a reocurring problem that is real… not sure what it is but i can create it with those specified conditions almost all the time… its a cell phone phenomenon that i want to understand rather than be afraid of…
