Can anyone share pros & cons based on experiences in running a home-based Day Care?

I don’t have children myself, but love children. I have done my share of baby-sitting duties for 3 nephews. I also teach a preschool Sunday School class. I love teaching, but don’t have a teaching degree or certification. A friend suggested to me that I might want to consider opening a Day Care in my home. As someone who can also communicate in ASL & is familiar with Deaf Culture, I could even “specialize” in caring for Deaf children. I don’t know anyone who runs a Day Care out of their home, so I’m hoping to get some positive & negative personal experiences here. Thanks!
