Do you give a holiday present (tip) to the service people in your life, and if so, how much?

i am wondering if i should give a holiday tip to my hairdresser. that started me thinking about the babysitter, garbage man, cleaning lady. i know there are websites that give amounts that are good to give, but i am wondering if other Fluther members give tips to the hairdresser and other service people that help them, and if so, how much do you give each?

i think last year i gave the babysitter $30 and the garbage men $30. i didn’t have a cleaning lady then, and i didn’t see the hairdresser near the holidays.
