Can you guys recommend me some moody, atmospheric films?

I want to expand my movie collection, but it’s hard to search for films by feel or mood. It’s the kind of thing you just have to stumble across. I like movies that might sometimes have a slow pace but are very immersive, or deeply explore certain emotions. One of my favorite movies is The Fast Runner. The story builds very slowly, but it really takes you to another time and place. I’m a big fan of Chinese and Taiwanese cinema, like 2046 by Wong Kar-Wai or Three Times by Hou Hsiao Hsien. I also like movies that are dark and twisty and mess with your mind, like Fight Club, Donnie Darko, or Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

So, any suggestions? I have a long winter break ahead of me and your collective awesomeness would really help me out.
