Whats wrong with my cat ?

So my cats were eyes are leaking a watery substance when i came home. I wiped her face with a towel and the watery substance seems to have stopped. I would just like to know if there is a chance that she is going blind or if she was just crying ? She’s a very old cat ( she’s 16 in human) and i’m just curious any answer would be helpful thank you…
