How do I remove red candle wax from cream colored carpet?

I’ve been out of the ocean for a LONG time, but I know I can count on the jellies to help me out.
Here’s the sich: kid number three, who is possibly the most accident-prone human, spilled hot red candle wax on our cream colored carpet. It’s not a lot, but it’s there and it’s making me crazy. I have tried the iron and bag/rag technique with pretty impressive results, but there is still a hint of pink left behind. I have used Goof Off, and again, I’ve had some success, but I still see pink. Any other suggestions?
