How do I begin our Christmas letter?

Well it’s a little late to be called a Christmas letter, but I ended up with the task of writing the letter this year (not my fault it’s late). So anyways I’m trying to find a good way to introduce the letter to say that I (the son) am writing the letter as opposed to my mom who usually writes it.

I tried to put “So to change things up this year there’s a new writer for the Christmas letter, me. Yep, me up there in the middle, Thomas” but I hate that. I tried a few other ways but I still can’t get the sound I want. Any suggestions?
