My tulip bulbs are already germinating. What should I do?

I planted tulip bulbs a few weeks ago for them to bloom in the spring, but some of them are already germinating. I live in San Francisco and am sure we will have at least a couple of more near-frost weather coming before the spring, and I don’t want them to die from it. What should I do?
