Do you keep a dream diary?

Asked by Zen_Again (9931points) January 16th, 2010

More and more people tell me what insight and value to exploring our dreams can be; I am a little skeptical – and think dream diaries are a lot of work. Like my poetry and music, (one day I hope to publish them), I get stuck at the “end part” of production. Procrastination.

Nonetheless, I have a proposition for you; let’s all keep a dream diary for one week and see what happens. Those who like to keep their privacy, won’t have to reveal their dreams. I am looking for whether the dreams actually helped to solve anything, whether the dreams were problems manifesting themselves or just random thoughts… that kind of thing. You’ll help to guide me – I am just the idea guy. I’m curious, but don’t know what the hell I’m talking about.

Starting February 1, jellies who want to participate in the great fluther dream-off – please sign up.

Requirements: Pen, pad and r.e.m.

Rules: For one week, whenever you awaken from a dream, be it in the middle of the night, or bright and early in the afternoon (students and night guards) – write down immediately what you have dreamt. Then, carefully analyze it. Was it related to what’s going on in your life? Was it helpful at all? Etectera.

The great fluther dream-off needs you; I must know what dreams are made of. See you in February?
