Serious question: what does a billion dollars mean to you?

When I was young, a million dollars was a LOT of money, but nowadays, it’s a billion dollars for this, a hundred billion dollars for that, so that the cost of things like fixing the economy, helping Haiti, corporate bonuses, etc. has become (at least for me) incomprehensible. Have you ever pondered what a billion dollars means in more familiar terms?
