What do you think about the All American Basketball Alliance?

There is a new Basketball league in town, the AABA. According to this article in the Augusta Chronicle the founder is quoted as saying, “Only players that are natural born United States citizens with both parents of Caucasian race are eligible to play in the league.
He says he wants to get away from “street ball” and back to the fundamentals of the game.
Do you think this argument has any merit, or is it a thinly-veiled attempt to legitimize and re-institutionalize racism?
