What's the best way to clean up honey?

The honey spilled all over its cabinet shelf, so needless to say there is a big mess. There is honey all over everything else, and the shelf is high enough that I can’t really see the surface.
Any tips? Or should I just take advantage of it to finally glue down shelf paper?
