Apple more popular than State of the Union?

Today, I’ve read 5+ articles on what is so great/so terrible about the newly released Apple iPad, multiple liveblogs of the event, and a few video roundups of the device.

I’ve read about 3 news articles maybe about Obama’s State of the Union speech (going on now, by the way), no liveblogs, no video roundups.

Is that right? Should some consumer product really be stepping ahead of arguably the most important speech of Obama’s presidency so far?
