Why are people on Xbox Live becoming so lazy and brainless?

Well about everyone who plays Xbox loves the new game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Everyone in the games wishes they could be the highest rank, tenth prestige so scammers start saying stuff like give me 1600 microsoft points (which is money you buy these points at walmart) and I will make you tenth prestige by hacking. First of all the majority of these guys are not even tenth prestige themselves and the other people are tenth prestige but got there without cheating. For some reason people actually believe these people will get them to tenth prestige and then give them the points and get ripped off. It makes no sense because even if they could do that whats the point? It requires no work effort you just play a video game I mean you could be terrible and still rank up rather fast. Are people that lazy these days that can’t even play a video game?
