Why does fake = bad?

This Q & responses got me thinking… Why are people so judgmental? (Maybe this should be a separate, more general question!) Would there be the same response if the question were about wigs vs. one’s own hair? Also, (no personal experience here) how do you guys know if they’re fake or not? Sure, some are obvious, but how do you know by sight whether they’re natural, or implants done ‘right’?
