More than one Gmail imap account in Apple-Mail?

hi there,
i tried to setup a second gmail-imap-account in Apple Mail (v. 4.2), but it doesn’t seem to work. the account settings are exactly the same and username/password are definitely correct.
is there a general rule/limit by Apple or Gmail?
