How effective is the new meta tab?

The meta tab can be quite a useful tool. There is a lot of stuff that shouldn’t be on the main page that can be on the meta tab. We can address some problems as a collective and our founders can run new ideas by us. When the meta tab is used like this, I think it is an amazing and wonderful tool.

However, it seems that disgruntled users often use it to air their grievances about being modded. I find these questions annoying and often they provide nothing useful.

What does the collective think? Do the pros outweigh the cons?
