why is there a limit on the amount of edits I can perform on a single post?

I am an iPhone user and out of respect for this community I am trying to maintain an unwritten code of errorless posts – hence the need for several edits.

Unfortunately iPhone does not have an ability to scroll up and down in an editable text box so if one has to edit something g at the top of that text box he had to select that section and commit to memory the edit he is about to perform because that section of text will disappear from sight.

I am only trying to respect this community but my hands are tied if I am limited like this.
