How do you get your face to tan like the rest of your body?

I know summer is approaching fast, and I have a question. How do you get your face to tan like the rest of your body? In my case, I go outside for 15 minutes and look like I’ve been out for an hour EXCEPT for my ghost white face. Reasons? Solutions? I’ve also tried self tanners and they don’t match my skin tone when I’m tan – too orangy.
