Should I stay at a hotel rather than waking people up by coming home late?

I really like going to midnight showings of new movies. It’s a different kind of vibe than the daytime ones. I was planning on going to one soon in another city.
My perdicament is that when I come home around 3, the dog wakes everyone in the house up. It’s ineveitable. It always ends up in a fight and I really don’t want that. I’ll get “looks” all the next day, as well. Should I suck it up or rent a cheapie hotel room for the night?
I’m trying to be nice to the other people in the house. Also, I don’t get much chance to have a evening to myself and maybe this might be nice and quiet. I don’t know. I just wanted to know if I was out of my mind to think this was even an option.
