How can I record the "wave out" audio in Windows Vista?

Asked by J0E (13172points) March 23rd, 2010

What I mean by “wave out” is the sound you hear from your computer, recording a Skype call for example.

The problem is that I don’t have the options that I should have when I go to the Recording tab in the Sounds box. The only two options I have are Digital Mic and Microphone/Line In. Forums are telling me to right click and choose Show Disabled Devices, I have done this and I don’t get any more options.

This is very frustrating, has anyone else had this problem and maybe some solutions?
