Are blackouts and crying fits common with post traumatic stress disorder?

Asked by ducky_dnl (5384points) March 30th, 2010

When I was growing up I was physically abused. Well, I’m going back to the gym tomorrow. I’m going to be staying to myself, but ever since I got hit the last time I have been depressed. When I got hit, I felt like I was literally getting beaten. I had a freak out fit and literally started crying and banging on the walls when I got to my house. At the gym, I blacked out, but when I came to… I felt like I was going to kill him. Lately, there has been a severe pain in the left temple of my head. I’m afraid that if I do go back and someone hits me again, that I’ll have a freak out fit there… or worse. What should I do?
