Are there any recent discoveries in the areas of Schizophrenia, Alzheimer's and Depression?

This thread is inspired by another thread which linked a newly discovered “Type 3 Diabetes” with Alzheimers. I was wondering if there were any breakthroughs in the other psychological disorders mentioned above in the last 5–10 years.

The reasons for this thread is I want to find recent evidence as my textbooks and current research is old (pre 2005) and searching for up to date stuff is meeting dead ends. I am appealing to you Fluthers as I hope that maybe a few of you have discovered breaking research that I haven’t been lucky enough to be exposed to.
