What's a good way to get rid of acne?

I have mild acne, and nothing seems to work. I’ve tried some acne treatments you can pick up at the store, and they haven’t worked. I wash my face twice daily and try to keep it clean, but the acne keeps coming back. I’m considering getting a prescription treatment.

What do you do?
Any suggestions?
