Can an Ultrasound Tech or Sonographer make good money with just an Associate's Degree?

I’m thinking of studying to become an Ultrasound Technician or a Sonographer. I hear it’s a hard program to get into but I am interested.
Please let me know if you have any experience in this field or have a lot of knowledge. Let me know education, the job experience, getting in, etc.
