Have you ever had a thought which kept sticking in your mind and bothering you, and you found it difficult to let go? How did you deal with it, and did the annoying thought finally go away?

Once in awhile, the thought of something innocuous (e.g., something that happened at work or anything else in life) would get stuck in my mind and I would be reminded of it throughout the day, to the point where it bothers me. It’s a bit depressing, and it tires me out mentally. I find it difficult to “forget” it and let it go. Have you ever experienced this type of “mental obsession” before, and how did you deal with it? Did it finally go away? It’s like I’m so much “inside my head”. Lol.
