Do Libertarians know History?

I want to know people’s thoughts about this blog-posting I found on the Campaign for Liberty’s website. It enrages me for its ignorance. and for other’s willingness to accept its ludicrously ignorant terms.

“Yet, it seems that just less than a short two and a half centuries after such ‘self evident truths’ were laid out in our Declaration of Independence, we as a nation, and as a people, have come full circle”

I like how this statement in particular utterly ignores that those “two and a half centuries” were actually less tolerant of human rights than any other point in American history. Ask a gay person. Ask a black person. Or a woman. Or a “coolie.” Or an Irishman. Or a White guy who didn’t own property.
